Remodel.  Renovate.  Restore.

In 2004, partners Paul Chavez (General Contractor) and Anita Chavez (Design Decision-
Maker) began remodeling homes in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Since then they have
renovated six houses in the North Valley, East Downtown (EDo), Albuquerque Downtown,
South Valley and Old Town/ Sawmill neighborhoods.  With each project, Paul and Anita
have incorporated different levels of green construction, spending countless hours
researching the latest Home Remodeling and Sustainable Development news to enhance
their professional knowledge and experience.

As much as possible, they incorporate key principals advocated by the green building
movement.  Some features included their remodel construction projects are building
concrete countertops, installing renewable cork flooring, restoring old hardwood floors,
using clay paint, and improving insulation, while incorporating as many "earth elements"
or nature-inspired aesthetics as possible.  So, for example, instead of using ceramic or
porcelain tile, they choose slate and/or travertine stone tile.  When deciding between
painting doors or leaving them in their natural wood state, the latter prevails.

Here are three examples of what a bit of sweat equity, imagination, financial investment,
and (more than) a few longs nights can accomplish when remodeling, renovating and
restoring.
